Funny: Guy changes name to avoid exorbitant airline fee

Adam Armstrong had a problem. His girlfriend’s stepfather bought him a plane ticket to Ibiza but because of a Facebook joke, the kindly stepdad thought Armstrong’s name was Adam West and this was the name he gave the airline, Ryanair. Adam discovered to his great dismay that it would cost $336 to change the name on the ticket. What do you do in such a situation?

1. Not go to Ibiza
2. Swallow hard and pay the $336
3. Change your name to Adam West and buy a new passport for only $157

Adam Armstrong chose C. He legally changed his name to Adam West – this process is apparently pretty easy in the UK where Adam lives – and got a new passport so he could fly to Ibiza with his girlfriend. Yes, airline fees are getting completely out of hand. Thank you for pointing this up Adam West!

You have to hand it to Adam West…that is one tenacious f–ker. He wanted to go to Ibiza and he wasn’t going to let some greedy airline stop him. So he used the system to his advantage. He got over on Ryanair. And now he has a cool name to boot. Adam West (formerly Armstrong), you are a damn hero young man. Enjoy your Ibiza trip! You deserve to have fun with your girlfriend or whoever you end up with.
