ROCHESTER, MI - A Rochester parent is suing her school district for denying Freedom of Information Act requests for records pertaining to an ethnic and gender studies course.

The lawsuit was filed Monday, March 14 in Oakland County Circuit Court by the libertarian think tank Mackinac Center Legal Foundation on behalf of Carol Beth Litkouhi. A summons for the Rochester Community Schools district was issued on March 15, according to county court records.
