| Many of Georgia’s powerful corporate powerhouses are urging the state legislature to pass a hate-crimes law as part of a strong stand “united against targeted violence and bigotry.” State lawmakers return to the legislative session on June 15. A coalition of more than 60 business leaders including those from Atlanta United, Delta Air Lines, The Coca-Cola Company, United Parcel Service, Home Depot and Microsoft signed a June 8 letter advocating for passage of House Bill 426, or the Georgia Hate Crimes Act. The bill is sponsored by state Rep. Chuck Efstration, a Republican from Dacula.
