Scientists are taking the idea of a “power suit” to the next level, with a project looking to turn textile waste into next-generation batteries.

Dr Deepak Dubal, a senior lecturer from the Queensland University of Technology's science and engineering faculty, said he was developing a method to potentially solve two problems at once: the need for new battery technology and the growing problem of textile waste.
