A uniformed police officer who shot a workman in the face with a Taser during a roadside dispute said 'f***ing 'av that' after firing, a court heard.

PC Jonathon Hillier, a serving West Midlands Police officer, denies actual bodily harm after discharging the 'aimed' Taser at the victim's head.

Prosecutors have alleged that the constable's actions in using the weapon were 'an unreasonable and criminal act'.

At the start of Hillier's trial on Tuesday, prosecution barrister Adam Western QC, opening the case, said the weapon's two metal barbs lodged in victim Scott Cutler's left eyebrow and neck.

The probes had to be removed at hospital and the wounds needed stitching and gluing.

The officer claimed the incident unfolded after he challenged Mr Cutler about his bad language, having allegedly been told to 'f*** off'.
