| Subject: Another leftist 'achievement': One-fifth of year 9 students miss OZschwitz NAPLAN writing benchmark Tue Aug 28, 2018 12:29 am | |
| Students across Australia have achieved their lowest writing results since NAPLAN tests began, with more than one-fifth of year 9 students not reaching the national minimum standard.
In NSW, only 81.3 per cent of year 9 students reached the national band 6 minimum standard in writing this year compared to 83.7 per cent last year and 79.5 per cent of year 9 students nationally, the latest NAPLAN results, released on Tuesday, show.
Only 88 per cent of NSW year 7 and 91.4 per cent of year 5 students hit the writing benchmark, with both year groups also recording a fall since last year.
