| For several years, so-called "fast-fashion" brands, which sell low-cost clothing with a high turnover, have been working hard to clean up their image.
So it was with great fanfare that last month, UK giant ASOS announced it was banning cashmere, along with mohair, feathers and silk, from next January.
The announcement followed intense lobbying by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), which has also influenced more than 100 other clothing companies, including H&M and Topshop, to ditch mohair.
