This is the car that Formula E organisers believes will create a revolution in motorsport.

The ambitious all-electric series has unveiled renderings of its second generation racer, ahead of a public reveal at the 2018 Geneva motor show on March 6. The wild looking machine will replace the current car for the next season of racing that begins in late 2018.

Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag has grand ambitions for the car.

“This car represents the future of racing," Agag explained. "When we started Formula E, our goal was to break the mould and challenge the status quo - bringing a revolution to motorsport. This next generation car represents that revolution."
