CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- A suspected thief learned a valuable lesson last month after he blew a fuse while using a power drill to break into parking meters. Police said that the next time, he used a cordless drill.

Police said William David Salisbury, 44, was so brazen that he plugged an extension cord for his drill outside the guardhouse on Dec. 22, blowing a circuit breaker.
