The EU moves its headquarters between Brussels to Strasbourg every month
Talk about inefficiency due to politics. Every month the 751 Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) move from Brussels, Belgium, to Strasbourg, France. The estimated cost to the United Kingdom is about $200 million per year. Even though it is reported that a large majority of the MEPs want to stop the practice the 28 EU countries would have to agree to it and it is believed that France would block the change.
