| Three men who planned to earn easy cash by helping to smuggle millions of dollars' worth of heroin into Australia in decorative wooden altars are instead facing lengthy jail terms.
Lam Hoang Tran, 32, and Tam Minh Dang, 50 were sentenced to 10 years' jail and Duy Hoa Pham, 35, to 12 years' jail on Wednesday for their role in the elaborate scheme to import $20 million worth of heroin from Vietnam.
The trio was caught red handed dismantling the decorative altars in a shed at Munruben, south of Brisbane, in November 2012, after they were shipped from Ho Chi Minh City.
