| NYPD Says 911 Caller Threatened to Kill Cops, Authorities Say
Even seasoned NYPD operators may have been jolted by two calls to 911 before dawn on December 30. That’s when Rayshawn Dixon requested officers be sent to his apartment on New York's Upper West Side, police said, so he could “blow their f****** head off." Dixon, who was charged with making terrorist threats, was the 18th person arrested for threatening cops in the nearly two weeks since two NYPD officers were shot and killed in the line of duty. Officer Wenjian Liu is to be buried Sunday in the same cemetery where his partner Officer Rafael Ramos was interred last Sunday. Dixon was arrested on New Year’s Eve as he walked out of a pizza shop. He was arraigned late Thursday and held on $100,000 bail. “I got a gun,” court records quote Dixon telling the 911 operator in the first call at 4:53 a.m. “I got a gun, come here, I’ll blow their f****** head off." A short time later, in a second call, court records quote Dixon as saying, “I don’t know why you can’t come here yet cause I’m dying to kill NYPD. I am waiting for them.” When the operator asked, “How are they supposed to know it’s you?” Dixon replied. “They’ll figure it out. They’ll see me pull that hammer out, they’ll figure it out."
