| A reserve deputy constable in Texas remains jailed on allegations that he shot another motorist during an apparent road rage incident while he was off-duty.
Harris County Constable Kenneth Caplan is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is scheduled to appear in court Monday. Online records show he remained in jail Sunday on a $200,000 bond.
Authorities say the victim was driving Nov. 11 on a Houston freeway when a bullet grazed her head. They say their investigation led to Caplan, who was booked Wednesday.
The Harris County District Clerk didn't list an attorney for Caplan and a home number couldn't be found.
The Precinct 6 office where Caplan was assigned said he wasn't on duty and that measures were taken to "remove him from our status."
