| PENSIONERS have put the brakes on a push for senior drivers to display a compulsory "S" plate on their cars.
Association policy co-ordinator Paul Versteege said his organisation was deeply upset about the actions of the NRMA.
"The 'S' plate is of great concern to us," Mr Versteege said. "I talked with the NRMA a couple of weeks after the speech by Mr Blight about the 'S' plate and they told me this was very much on the table.
"They said this was something they very much wanted to pursue with the State Government. 'S' plates will give rise to harassment if elderly drivers are marked out.
