| A Queensland man charged with making threats against the US president never posed any real risk, police say.
Rockhampton man Jake Nicholas, 21, was arrested on Thursday night over alleged threats against Barack Obama, who is due to arrive in Brisbane on Saturday for the G20.
He will face the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on December 4 after being released on bail on a charge of using a carriage service to menace or harass.
Deputy Queensland Police Commissioner Ross Barnett would not release details of the man's alleged threats, other than to say they were made by phone.
