A police property room should be one of the most secure places in town. But in Plantation, that wasn't the case.

Missing is $225,000 from the room where cops store confiscated property.

Police identified a civilian employee as a suspect, but the State Attorney's Office will not prosecute.

There was not enough "evidence of a money trail linking [the employee] to the theft of the missing currency," prosecutors wrote in a memo.
