John Tamny, political economy editor at Forbes, will be guest speaker at the Libertarian Party of Ventura County’s summer fundraiser from 7 to 9 p.m. Sat., July 26 at a private residence, 2607 Lander Court, Newbury Park.

Donations will be accepted during the evening. The event will also have an art auction. Refreshments will be provided.

Tamny, known for his views on the intersection of politics and economics, will discuss “Government Barriers to Economic Growth.” He will show how government sprawl affects citizens and businesses and will suggest solutions from a Libertarian viewpoint.

Tamny is a weekly panelist on the Forbes on Fox show and a regular guest on CNBC’s Kudlow Report. He is a senior economic advisor to Toreador Research & Trading and editor of Real Clear Markets.
