The latest political culprit: leading German MP Michael Hartmann.

The 51-year-old admitted using crystal meth, after being named by a dealer under police surveillance, saying he only bought small amounts and used it for a month, The Times’ Berlin correspondent reported.

His justification: the powerful stimulant improved his performance as an MP.
