| Subject: Reminder of statism: High Tides of Pacific Ocean Wash skeletons of WWII Japanese Soldier Sat Jun 07, 2014 2:32 am | |
| Global Warming leads to the washing of graves of World War II soldiers on Marshall Islands. Their skeleton washed away because of the high tides in the Pacific Ocean.
According to the Tony De Brum, Marshall Island’s Foreign Minister, the high tides were responsible to open a grave that contained 26 soldiers, probably from Japan.
“There are coffins and dead people being washed away from graves; it’s that serious, He said at UN climate talks in Bonn on Friday. “Tides have caused not just inundation and flooding of communities where people live but have also done severe damage in undermining regular land so that even the dead are affected.”
Japanese Navy used the Marshall Islands as base in WWII.
It was seen that changes in sea level in this area is faster than other regions which made Marshall Islands as one of the most vulnerable places to get this climate change.
