| Subject: Good stuff: Canada Revenue Agency site still partly disabled because of Heartbleed bug Sat Apr 12, 2014 8:01 pm | |
| Three days after the Heartbleed computer bug forced the federal government to shut down parts of several websites, the Canada Revenue Agency’s page remains partially disabled.
While users can still navigate the page for information, services like online tax filing and access to account information remain off limits while the federal government works to ensure the site is secure.
The Heartbleed bug is a flaw affecting the OpenSSL software that monitors privacy and security information for a variety of web sites.
When it shut down the interactive functions on its site the CRA said it expected normal service to resume this weekend, but by Saturday afternoon the disabled sections of the site still hadn’t returned to service.
