| The oligarch Boris Berezovsky, who survived two assassination attempts after making powerful "enemies" in the Kremlin, died in "strange" circumstances in his locked bathroom, an inquest heard on Wednesday.
Mr Berezovsky, 67, an outspoken critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin, had spoken before his death of "enemies in Russia who were trying to destroy him".
The circumstances of his death, which included apparent radiation being detected in his Berkshire home and a mystery fingerprint on a bathroom fitting, led to questions over whether he may have been assassinated, casting doubt over a theory of suicide.
But the former billionaire was also a "broken man" who frequently talked about killing himself after losing a multibillion-pound legal battle to his rival, Roman Abramovich, the Chelsea Football Club owner.
