| The music video for love ballad Behesht (Forever), is shot from the point of view of an unseen person clearly very much in love with the female star of the narrative.
The video finds itself in a sweet middle ground between Jonas Akerlund’s Smack My Bitch Up and Australian Marriage Equality’s “It’s Time” campaign, in that the hands and point of view of the unseen lover turn out to be those of a woman.
What’s particularly impressive, however, is that the performer, Googoosh, is Iranian - you may recall that, late last year, Iran’s revolutionary guards trumpeted about the arrest of "a network of homosexuals and satanists" - and the creation of the video is a considerable act of both outspoken support of LGBT people and, in turn, courage.
