John Lott of the Crime Prevention Research Center has released a report that will make the gun grabbers cringe. He points out that, "every place that guns have been banned, murder rates have gone up."

In Great Britain after their 1997 ban, there was nearly a 50% rise in homicide rates. Violent crime also skyrocketed in Australia after their ban on certain guns.

And of course "gun free zones" have been a hot bed for shootings. Schools are gun free zones and it is clear as a result they remain a target for mass shootings. The recent Aurora shooting was at a movie theater, that was a gun free zone. Intuitively one should understand that places where guns are banned are the perfect target for criminals to commit their murders.

Recently the TSA announced that their gun confiscation rates where up 20%. After the recent shooting at the LAX airport you would think that the TSA would welcome law abiding citizen to carry. Guns are the great equalizer.

John Lott goes on to point out that, "you cannot point to one place where [the murder rate] has fallen [after guns have been banned] whether it's Chicago or D.C or even island nations such as England, Jamaica or Ireland."

Regardless of cold hard facts, certain special interest groups are openly coming after your second amendment rights. The Brady Campaign is perhaps the most infamous of the gun grabbing lobbies and is actively working to threaten your second amendment rights.

Recently, they pledged to sue Missouri lawmakers if they enact a law allowing criminal charges against federal agents who try to enforce unconstitutional federal gun-control laws. I guess the Brady Campaign is not only vehemently anti-second amendment, but anti-tenth amendment as well.

In closing, banning guns only produces more crime, but that will not stop groups like the Brady Campaign from trying to abolish the second amendment.
