A woman has had a narrow escape from being crushed by a tree being removed by council workers in Russia.

The video of the incident has been posted on Youtube.

The unnamed woman seemed oblivious as tree surgeons began cutting near a sidewalk.

The three workers are seen working to cut the tree, with one even moving out of the way of the path of the soon falling tree.

The woman then comes into the picture, carrying an umbrella, and seemingly unaware of the drama about to happen around her.

She hops away shocked after the tree misses her by centimetres.
