Statist idiots: OZschwitz 'fly-in fly-out' cops who 'wouldn't have a clue'

THREE of the four most senior police tasked with driving the bikies from the Gold Coast are "fly-in, fly-out" officers who refuse to live here.

Adding to the insult, three of them were offered free, taxpayer-funded police housing and only one could be bothered to live in it.

South Eastern police region Assistant Commissioner Graham Rynders, his right-hand man Superintendent Ben Hanbidge and Regional Crime Co-ordinator David Hutchinson do not live on the Gold Coast and travel up to an hour each day just to get to work.

Mr Hutchinson is understood to live within the region, but not the Gold Coast city limits.

Of the top four police, only Chief Superintendent Steve Hollands actually lives on the Gold Coast.

Critics say police will never understand the Coast unless they actually live here.

The Queensland Police Union has labelled the senior officers "fly-in, fly-out" police.

Acting union president Senior Sergeant Shayne Maxwell said living close to the town or city where police were stationed helped officers take "ownership" of the community.
