Anjem Choudary refuses to 'abhor' Woolwich attack
Radical Islamist preacher Anjem Choudary has said he was "shocked" by the murder of a soldier in Woolwich, but has refused to condemn the attack.
Drummer Lee Rigby was killed in broad daylight on Wednesday by two men, who were subsequently shot by police. The suspects, now known to be Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale, were known to security services.
Mr Choudary told the BBC's Newsnight programme that he encountered Adebolajo at a number of Islamist demonstrations.
"When I saw what took place I was shocked... but what he said in the clip, I think not many Muslims can disagree with," he added.
Mr Choudary was participating in a Newsnight discussion on the attack with Shams Adduha Muhammad, imam and director of Ebrahim College, and Julie Siddiqui, executive director of the Islamic Society of Britain. Newsnight's presenter Kirsty Wark chaired the discussion.

How likely is it that a young serving soldier would be wearing a 'help for Heroes' T-shirt while off duty, it would be like a schoolboy wearing a PTA T-shirt when not in school uniform. I have been searching my memory for a news story a few years back (could have been in the Guardian) about people being confronted by groups of actors in public places, who tried to involve them in their 'scenes'- staged in supermarkets and other public places. I believe someone wrote that they had challenged the performers as to what they were doing, but can't recall any more. In all likelihood the public is monitored closely through such stunts, to gauge reaction and opinion. This happened where a TV show called the Bill use to be filmed; if you look at many different videos the guy does NOT have blood on his hands! Also, there is a lack of blood on any clothing worn by either of them! There is no blood splatter on their faces !!!!!!! Just a point some people seem to be missing here, regarding the 'blood' near the crashed car. It is very likely not blood at all, (fake or otherwise) it is much more likely to be coolant from the radiator.
Anti freeze is quite often red in colour, and the damage to the front end of the car does appear sufficient to have caused damage to the radiator. I believe this is much more likely to be the cause of the pool of red fluid near the vehicle. 12:02 AM Anonymous said...
I so agree with all these points. I too felt that it was all staged and noticed the resemblence of those two women. The "mother's" grief didnt seem authentic. And i couldnt believe it when i read in the newspaper a day later, that the wife was "estranged". Have to say though, im no longer shocked by all these events, as i know they are staged. I saw a vid on liveleak.com from from the Mirror. The footage was shot from a helicopter and showed the shooting of the perps. Funny thing is, that you can hear the gun shots and some yelling and screaming but you can't hear the helicopter. 9:33 PM
Noise cancelling microphones were adopted for Helicopters in Vietnam. Its a condenser mike with two diaphragms where sound common to both sides cancels out and only a differecne signal gets past the mike. Every camera has a noise cancelling microphone. 4:35 AM Paul Coker said...

The impression I got of the Mirror footage was that it was not shot from a helicopter, but out of the window of the adjacent tower block by a civilian.
I have to doublecheck, but I believe there IS a towerblock there, and the POV for the shot was certainly static.
If it was police footage, it would have have been sold (openly) to the mirror, it was (at least implicitly)non-official footage shot by a civilian. 2:26 PM Anonymous said...

Woolwich murder: Younger brother of Michael Adebolajo ‘was paid thousands to spy in Middle East’ by MI6
The younger brother of one of the men accused of murdering Drummer Lee Rigby was paid thousands of pounds by MI6 as part of spying operations in the Middle East, The Mail on Sunday has discovered.
Jeremiah Adebolajo, who uses the name Abul Jaleel, was also asked to help ‘turn’ his brother, Michael, to work for MI5, who were already aware of Michael’s close links to extremist groups.
The claims are made by the Adebolajo family and a well-placed source who contacted The Mail on Sunday.
Jeremiah Adebolajo, 26, who works as an English teacher at a university in Saudi Arabia and returned to Britain this week, is to be questioned about his brother by Scotland Yard counter-terrorism detectives today.
Government sources have already confirmed that Michael Adebolajo was known to MI5. Last week it was alleged that he rebuffed efforts by the security service to recruit him as a spy.
