POLICE have arrested 31 people and searched nearly 350 people during an operation targeting antisocial behaviour, drug offences and repeat offenders in Sydney's west.

Charges laid since Friday night under Operation Maxima include malicious wounding, robbery in company and supplying cannabis.

Police said officers searched 347 people, 49 vehicles and 56 boats, seizing a knife and drugs including cannabis and prescription medication.

Officers also conducted 1095 random breath tests, 56 marine breath tests and issued 148 traffic and parking infringement notices, 78 move-on directions and seven cannabis cautions.

The Cabramatta Local Area Commander, Superintendent Wayne Murray, said the charges resulted from a highly-visible policing presence: ''The community deserves to know that their local police will not tolerate drug and antisocial behaviour or anyone that chooses to break the law.''
