| The Russian businessman who died in mysterious circumstances outside his home in England last month was involved in a long-running financial dispute with a company led by one of the chief suspects in the poisoning of the former KGB officer Alexander Litvinenko.
And public records show a legal representative acting for the ''supergrass'' Alexander Perepelichny told a court in Moscow last year the businessman was ''living outside the Russian Federation because he fears for his life''. Mr Perepelichny, 44, apparently collapsed while jogging near his home in Weybridge, Surrey, on November 10.
Police initially thought his death was not suspicious, but concerns he may have been killed have mounted since a second post mortem proved inconclusive. Toxicology tests are expected to take several weeks and the force this week referred the case to its major crimes unit.
