| A Staten Island woman bit a police officer’s face after she was arrested for driving without a license, authorities said.
The bloody encounter happened after Amanda Diaz, 27, was pulled over near Mosel Ave. and Clove Rd. in Grasmere, where cops spotted her driving erratically about 5 p.m. on Oct. 4, prosecutors said.
Cops stopped Diaz, of West Brighton, and said she was driving her 1998 Nissan Maxima about 5 mph and swerving into oncoming traffic, court papers show.
The officers found that her license had been revoked for failing to pay at least three prior summonses, the documents show.
But Diaz flipped out and began flailing her arms while cursing at the officers as they tried to cuff her, the court papers show.
Once inside the police car, Diaz bit one of the officers on the face, “causing the skin to rip off,” according to the court papers.
The officer was treated at a nearby hospital and later released.
Diaz was booked on a slew of charges that include assault, resisting arrest, reckless driving and driving without a license.
She was released on $5,000 bail after her arraignment on Oct. 6.
