In a few days, perhaps as early as Friday, June 15, at noon, the Syrians wanting to watch their national TV stations will see them replaced on their screens by TV programs created by the CIA. Studio-shot images will show massacres that are blamed on the Syrian Government, people demonstrating, ministers and generals resigning from their posts, President Al-Assad fleeing, the rebels gathering in the big city centers, and a new government installing itself in the presidential palace.
This operation of disinformation, directly managed from Washington by Ben Rhodes, the US deputy national security adviser for strategic communication, aims at demoralizing the Syrians in order to pave the way for a coup d’etat. NATO, discontent about the double veto of Russia and China, will thus succeed in conquering Syria without attacking the country illegally. Whichever judgment you might have formed on the actual events in Syria, a coup d’etat will end all hopes of democratization.
The Arab League has officially asked the satellite operators Arabsat and Nilesat to stop broadcasting Syrian media, either public or private (Syria TV, Al-Ekbariya, Ad-Dounia, Cham TV, etc.) A precedent already exists because the Arab League had managed to censure Libyan TV in order to keep the leaders of the Jamahiriya from communicating with their people. There is no Hertz network in Syria, where TV works exclusively with satellites. The cut, however, will not leave the screens black.
Actually, this public decision is only the tip of the iceberg. According to our information several international meetings were organized during the past week to coordinate the disinformation campaign. The first two were technical meetings, held in Doha (Qatar); the third was a political meeting and took place in Riyad (Saudi Arabia).
The first meeting assembled PSYOP officers, embedded in the satellite TV channels of Al-Arabiya, Al-Jazeera, BBC, CNN, Fox, France 24, Future TV and MTV. It is known that since 1998, the officers of the US Army Psychological Operations Unit (PSYOP) have been incorporated in CNN. Since then this practice has been extended by NATO to other strategic media as well.
They fabricated false information in advance, on the basis of a “story-telling” script devised by Ben Rhodes’s team at the White House. A procedure of reciprocal validation was installed, with each media quoting the lies of the other media to render them plausible for TV spectators. The participants also decided not only to requisition the TV channels of the CIA for Syria and Lebanon (Barada, Future TV, MTV, Orient News, Syria Chaab, Syria Alghad) but also about 40 religious Wahhabi TV channels to call for confessional massacres to the cry of “Christians to Beyrouth, Alawites into the grave!.”
The second meeting was held for engineers and technicians to fabricate fictitious images, mixing one part in an outdoor studio, the other part with computer generated images. During the past weeks, studios in Saudi Arabia have been set up to build replicas of the two presidential palaces in Syria and the main squares of Damascus, Aleppo and Homs. Studios of this type already exist in Doha (Qatar), but they are not sufficient.
The third meeting was held by General James B. Smith, the US ambassador, a representative of the UK, prince Bandar Bin Sultan (whom former U.S. president George Bush named his adopted son so that the U.S. press called him “Bandar Bush”). In this meeting the media actions were coordinated with those of the Free “Syrian” Army, in which prince Bandar’s mercenaries play a decisive role.
The operation had been in the making for several months, but the U.S. National Security Council decided to accelerate the action after the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, notified the White House that he would oppose by all means, even by force, any illegal NATO military intervention in Syria.
The operation has a double intent: the first is to spread false information, the second aims at censuring all possible responses.
The hampering of TV satellites for military purposes is not new. Under pressure from Israel, the USA and the EU blocked Lebanese, Palestinian, Iraqi, Libyan and Iranian TV channels, one after the other. However, no satellite channels from other parts of the world were censured.
The broadcast of false news is also not new, but four significant steps have been taken in the art of propaganda during the last decade. • In 1994, a pop music station named “Free Radio of the Thousand Hills” (RTML) gave the signal for genocide in Rwanda with the cry, “Kill the cockroaches!” • In 2001, NATO used the media to impose an interpretation of the 9/11 attacks and to justify its own aggression against Afghanistan and Iraq. At that time already, it was Ben Rhodes who had been commissioned by the Bush administration to concoct the Kean/Hamilton Commission report on the attacks. • In 2002, the CIA used five TV channels (Televen, Globovision, ValeTV and CMT) to make the public in Venezuela believe that phantom demonstrators had captured the elected president, Hugo Chávez, forcing him to resign. In reality he was the victim of a military coup d’etat. • In 2011, France 24 served as information ministry for the Libyan CNT, according to a signed contract. During the battle of Tripoli, NATO produced fake studio films, then transmitted them via Al-Jazeera and Al-Arabiya, showing phantom images of Libyan rebels on the central square of the capital city, while in reality they were still far away. As a consequence, the inhabitants of Tripoli were persuaded that the war was lost and gave up all resistance.
Nowadays the media do not only support a war, they produce it themselves.
This procedure violates the principles of International Law, first of all Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights relating to the fact of receiving and imparting information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.” Above all, the procedure violates the United Nations General Assembly resolution, adopted after the end of World War II, to prevent further wars. Resolutions 110, 381 and 819 forbid “to set obstacles to free exchange of information and ideas” (like cutting off Syrian TV channels) and “all propaganda provoking or encouraging threats to peace, breaking peace, and all acts of aggression”. By law, war propaganda is a crime against peace, the worst of crimes, because it facilitates war crimes and genocide.

UN officials press world leaders to act immediately to protect Syrians
Senior United Nations officials called on the international community to take immediate action to protect civilians in Syria, citing the failure of President Bashar al-Assad's government to protect its population from atrocities.
The call for action follows reports of recent mass killings in two Syrian towns, part of a surge in violence by government and rebel forces in recent weeks as a peace plan put together by Kofi Annan unraveled.
"With the increasing violence and deepening sectarian tensions, the risk of further mass atrocity crimes is high. The time for action is now," the Special Advisers of the Secretary-General on the Prevention of Genocide and on the Responsibility to Protect, Francis Deng and Edward Luck said in a joint statement Thursday.
The two called on the international community to take action to meet its "responsibility to protect populations at risk of further atrocities in Syria," taking into consideration "the full range of tools available under the United Nations Charter."

Syria: Impending False Flag Media PSYOP On The Horizon
With the Syrian crisis heating up amidst heightened agitation by NATO powers and the announcement by Russian officials that two military combat divisions and one brigade of Russian troops are being readied in order to support the Assad government, very disturbing reports are now being echoed by reliable sources such as Thierry Meyssan and Webster Griffin Tarpley regarding a potential false flag in the region.
The event, which would take the form of staged massacres, rebellions, and resignations, using television studios and the commandeering of Syrian television, would serve the purpose of both spreading disinformation across the world and a campaign of demoralization against the Syrian people.
According to Meyssan, the event could take place as early as Friday, June 15, at noon.
Meyssan states that, although the time and date are not set in stone, the plan, which has been in the works for months, has been accelerated due to the recent announcements made by Vladmir Putin.
Meyssan writes:
Studio-shot images will show massacres that are blamed on the Syrian government, people demonstrating ministers and generals resigning from their posts, President al-Assad fleeing, the rebels gathering in the big city centers, and a new government installing itself in the presidential palace.
The plan, according to Meyssan, has been largely organized by Ben Rhodes, US Deputy National Security Advisor For Strategic Communication and speechwriter for Barack Obama.
Meyssan states that the Arab League has officially asked satellite operators Arabsat and Nilesat to stop broadcasting Syrian media, regardless of whether those broadcasts are government-based or private.
However, although Syrian media will be cut, television broadcasts presenting the staged scenarios mentioned above will replace the regularly scheduled programming.
Meyssan says that, according to his sources, several international meetings were held in the last week where a discussion took place regarding how to coordinate the disinformation operation. He claims that the first meeting held in Doha, Qatar, was of a technical nature and the third meeting, held in Riyad, Saudi Arabia dealt with political ramifications.
Meyssan writes:
The first meeting assembled PSYOP officers, embedded in the satellite TV channels of Al-Arabiya, Al-Jazeera, BBC, CNN, Fox, France 24, Future TV and MTV. It is known that since 1998, the officers of the US Army Psychological Operations Unit (PSYOP) have been incorporated in CNN. Since then this practice has been extended by NATO to other strategic media as well.
They fabricated false information in advance, on the basis of a 'story-telling' script devised by Ben Rhodes’s team at the White House. A procedure of reciprocal validation was installed, with each media quoting the lies of the other media to render them plausible for TV spectators. The participants also decided not only to requisition the TV channels of the CIA for Syria and Lebanon (Barada, Future TV, MTV, Orient News, Syria Chaab, Syria Alghad) but also about 40 religious Wahhabi TV channels to call for confessional massacres to the cry of 'Christians to Beyrouth, Alawites into the grave!'
Smith, the US ambassador, a representative of the UK, prince Bandar Bin Sultan (whom former U.S. president George Bush named his adopted son so that the U.S. press called him 'Bandar Bush'). In this meeting the media actions were coordinated with those of the Free 'Syrian' Army, in which prince Bandar’s mercenaries play a decisive role.
As Webster Tarpley has pointed out, this plan sounds eerily familiar to the false broadcast of the Green Square in Tripoli, Libya which turned out to be faked film footage created on a film set in Qatar.
It should also be pointed out that Victoria Nuland, Spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, has recently predicted more massacres similar to the Houla incident. Indeed, she was quite precise with her predictions, providing the exact locations of the “potential” massacres.
Obviously, one cannot predict with certainty whether this disinformation plan will be utilized or not. However, it is the goal of reports such as this one to shed enough light on the operation to see that it is not.

UN suspends monitoring in Syria amid continued violence
The United Nations said Saturday that it was suspending its observer mission in Syria because of the escalating violence, the most severe blow yet to months of effort by the UN to negotiate a peace plan and prevent Syria’s descent into civil war.
The UN said the monitors would not be withdrawn from Syria, but rather were being locked down in Syria’s most contested cities, unable to conduct patrols.
While the decision to suspend their work was made chiefly to protect the unarmed monitors, the unstated purpose appeared to be to force Russia to intervene and assure that the observers are not the targets of Syrian forces or their sympathizers. Russia has opposed Western intervention and, by some accounts, continues to arm the forces of President Bashar Assad.
For President Obama, the suspension of the observers’ activities - unless it is reversed quickly - could signal the failure of the latest effort by the West to reach a diplomatic solution and ease Assad from power.

9.27am: Syria: Our favourite reader, Brown Moses, has been going through video purporting to show two senior military commanders captured by the Free Syrian Army.
Brigadier General Mounir Shleibi of the Palestine Intelligence Branch and Major General Faraj al-Maqt of Syrian Central Command.
Both men had black eyes. The video can't be independently verified, but as Brown Moses notes "the makers of the video have gone to great lengths to ensure both men can be clearly identified, filming close up of their ID documents."
Earlier this week state media claimed that a man had been abducted and portrayed as a defected colonel, by an armed group.

UN plan for an interim transitional Syrian government
IN THE face of escalating conflict in Syria, major powers are to meet in Geneva today to discuss a United Nations plan for an interim transitional government.
Yet many fear the security situation has disintegrated so much that even if Syria's main ally, Russia, were to support the plan, the rebel Free Syrian Army could reject the proposal.
"Too much blood has been shed," one observer noted. Advertisement: Story continues below
The meeting in Geneva is taking place as the fallout between Syria and Turkey continues to worsen from Syria's downing of a Turkish jet earlier in the week.
Turkey has begun deploying rocket launchers and anti-aircraft guns along its border with Syria, where thousands of refugees have poured across in the past few months.

Senior Syrian military officer reportedly defects to Turkey
Pro-government news outlets in Syria reported Thursday that a powerful military officer and longtime close associate of the Assad family had fled to Turkey, in what could be the first sign of a crack in the regime’s inner circle.
The pro-Assad Web site Syria Steps was the first to report that Maj. Gen. Manaf Tlas, who heads the elite Republican Guard and is the son of a once-influential former defense minister, had joined the opposition. It appeared to be the most senior defection since the uprising against President Bashar al-Assad began more than 15 months ago.

Assad: U.S. trying to destabilize Syria
Syria's president on Sunday accused the United States of trying to destabilize Syria by providing political support to rebels fighting the regime.
Bashar al-Assad also said a months-old peace plan aimed at ending the violence has not failed, but it has yet to be implemented because countries are supporting the "terrorists" in Syria.
Al-Assad's interview with German broadcaster ARD aired as the opposition Local Coordination Committees of Syria reported another 60 people killed in the country Sunday.
It also came the same day U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the Syrian regime's days are numbered. Noting a number of recent defections from the regime, Clinton said, "the sand is running out of the hourglass."
U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon added Sunday that the situation in Syria has deteriorated significantly and become more militarized. "Appalling" human rights violations continue, he said, and the killings and violence have turned even more sectarian.
"President Assad must understand that things cannot continue as they are. Fundamental change is needed," he said.
Al-Assad said in the interview it should not be those outside Syria who get to decide his future, telling ARD it should be up to the Syrian people.
"The people will decide who should be our representative, the people's representative, through the ballot box," he told ARD.
Former U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan, now the United Nations and Arab League joint special envoy to Syria, brokered a six-point peace plan in March. The Syrian government accepted the plan, which proposed an end to the violence, access to humanitarian groups, and an inclusive political dialogue.
"Kofi Annan is doing, so far, difficult but good work," al-Assad said. "There are many obstacles, but it shouldn't be a failed plan."
Annan arrived in Damascus on Sunday for talks with al-Assad, Annan's spokesman said.
Asked about Annan's plan for a unity government in Syria, al-Assad said one already exists, pointing to local elections in December in which opposition members won a small number of seats. That they didn't win more, he said, was down to the voters.
Al-Assad said the United States is "of course" implicated in the deaths of Syrian civilians as long as it provides political support to terrorists in the country.
The United States "is part of the conflict," he said. "They offered an umbrella -- political support -- to those gangs to create instability, to destabilize Syria."
The regime has long blamed the violence in Syria on terrorists, armed gangs, and foreign fighters bent on creating unrest. Al-Assad said Sunday that some of the captured terrorists hail from Tunisia and Libya.

Syrian ambassador to Iraq defects: report
A Syrian opposition figure says the Syrian ambassador to Iraq has defected.
The opposition figure says the ambassador, Nawaf Fares, is believed to be on his way to seek asylum in Turkey. If confirmed, it would mark one of the highest level defections in the 16-month-old uprising.
Khaled Khoja, a member of the opposition Syrian National Council, said on Wednesday that it is "certain that Fares has defected." He says his information came from his own sources on the ground in Syria. There was no other immediate confirmation of the defection.

Syrian Opposition’s Amazing CIA Credentials
Thanks once again to the indispensable Moon of Alabama blog for highlighting, among other interesting facts, the amazingly open ties of the Syrian opposition to their Western paymasters. As the astonishing Guardian story linked in the MoA piece outlines, down to the person these Syrian engines of regime change are products of the US empire and its interventionist, Trotskyite foreign policy of “global democratic revolution.” I urge interested readers to click on the original piece for the full story. I am paraphrasing and quoting the Guardian story below by way of summary:
Syrian National Council (SNC):
Bassma Kodmani — member of the executive bureau and head of foreign affairs, Syrian National Council. Two-time Bilderberg meeting attendee. Director of governance and international co-operation program for (CIA-front) Ford Foundation in pre-”Arab Spring” Egypt. Executive director of the Arab Reform Initiative (ARI) — a research programme initiated by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).
Radwan Ziadeh — senior fellow at the federally funded Washington think tank, the US Institute of Peace (the USIP Board of Directors is packed with alumni of the defense department and the national security council; its president is Richard Solomon, former adviser to Kissinger at the NSC). In February he joined an elite bunch of Washington hawks to sign a letter calling upon Obama to intervene in Syria: his fellow signatories include James Woolsey (former CIA chief), Karl Rove (Bush Jr’s handler), Clifford May (Committee on the Present Danger) and Elizabeth Cheney, former head of the Pentagon’s Iran-Syria Operations Group. Close allies in US House of Representatives and Senate.
Ausama Monajed — Commentator on Al Jazeera, owned by the dictatorship of Qatar. Blogger for Huffington Post. Adviser to SNC president and “the Founder and Director of Barada Television”, a pro-opposition satellite channel based in Vauxhall, south London. In 2008, a few months after attending Syria In-Transition conference, Monajed was back in Washington, invited to lunch with George W Bush, along with a handful of other favoured dissidents. Recipient of large amounts of State Department funding through its front organization The Democracy Council.
Others:
Hamza Fakher — co-author of Revolution in Danger, a publication of the extremist neo-con “Henry Jackson Society Strategic Briefing,” in February of this year. He co-wrote this briefing paper with the Henry Jackson Society’s communications director, Michael Weiss.
Michael Weiss — One of the most widely quoted western experts on Syria — and an enthusiast for western intervention. Director of communications and public relations at the neo-con Henry Jackson Society. The Henry Jackson Society’s international patrons include: James “ex-CIA boss” Woolsey, Michael “homeland security” Chertoff, William “PNAC” Kristol, Robert “PNAC” Kagan, Joshua “Bomb Iran” Muravchick, and Richard “Prince of Darkness” Perle. The Society is run by Alan Mendoza, chief adviser to the all-party parliamentary group on transatlantic and international security.
Tikun Olam Blog founder Richerd Silverstein calls “friend of Syria” Michael Weiss a “Pro-Israel Neocon” who “Authors Blueprint for Western Military Intervention in Syria Approved by Syrian Ex-Pats.”
Concludes the Guardian piece:
This is not to suggest that the account of atrocities must be untrue, but how many of those who give it currency are scrutinising its origins?
And let’s not forget, whatever destabilisation has been done in the realm of news and public opinion is being carried out twofold on the ground. We already know that (at the very least) “the Central Intelligence Agency and State Department … are helping the opposition Free Syrian Army develop logistical routes for moving supplies into Syria and providing communications training.”
The bombs doors are open. The plans have been drawn up.
This has been brewing for a time. The sheer energy and meticulous planning that’s gone into this change of regime — it’s breathtaking. The soft power and political reach of the big foundations and policy bodies is vast, but scrutiny is no respecter of fancy titles and fellowships and “strategy briefings”. Executive director of what, it asks. Having “democracy” or “human rights” in your job title doesn’t give you a free pass.
And if you’re a “communications director” it means your words should be weighed extra carefully. Weiss and Fakher, both communications directors — PR professionals.

Still on script:
Intense fighting rocks Syrian capital, fueling perceptions of a turning point
Syrian opposition groups said their fighters were converging on Damascus amid growing questions about the government’s ability to keep control of the capital, where fierce clashes between security forces and rebels stretched into a third day on Tuesday.
Despite the overwhelming firepower of government troops, rebel forces appeared to hold their ground in several neighborhoods where the fighting was heaviest, according to members of the opposition.
The intense fighting in the capital marked the first time that many Damascus residents had seen overt signs of the bloody 16-month uprising against President Bashar al-Assad that has left at least 14,000 Syrians dead.
The rebels’ increasing boldness comes as the Syrian opposition appears to be gaining ground despite the government’s advantages in armament and training, military analysts said.
Independent analysts who have tracked the uprising say the rebels are staging more attacks nationwide and inflicting significantly more casualties than they were even a month ago. In June, the number of reported clashes hit a new high — 256, or an average of 8.5 per day — and the pace of fighting has surged since then, said Jeffrey White, a former analyst for the Defense Intelligence Agency. The figures are extrapolated from data provided by Syrian opposition committees and human rights organizations.
“It’s gone from intermittent clashes to sustained fighting in key provinces,” said White, a defense fellow for the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, a nonpartisan think tank.
Opposition fighters said they had shot down an army helicopter in the Damascus district of Qaboun, the Reuters news agency reported. The downing of the helicopter, if confirmed, may raise questions about whether rebel forces have received a shipment of antiaircraft weapons and other heavy arms they have been seeking for months from foreign supporters, including Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Rebel forces are better equipped than they were even a few weeks ago, with an apparently plentiful supply of ammunition along with more machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades, White said. As a result, casualties among Syrian troops have soared over the past few weeks, to about 150 killed and wounded each day, he said. The rebel Free Syrian Army also is becoming more effective at destroying military vehicles and commandeering weapons and supplies from government forces and pro-government militias, he said.
Adding to the sense that some kind of showdown may be at hand, the Syrian government was moving troops from the Golan Heights toward Damascus and other trouble spots, Agence France-Presse reported.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said rebel forces are converging on Damascus to help with the fight. The deputy commander of the Free Syrian Army said in a telephone interview that the recent clashes marked the beginning of the group’s big push to take control of the city.
“Our strategy is to bleed down the regime forces and take over government buildings and key places in the capital,” Col. Malik Kurdi said. He denied that the opposition had been sent any heavy weapons.

Former Syrian General says Assad's days are numbered
Akil Hashem spent 27 years serving in the Syrian army, eventually rising to the rank of Brigadier-General before he retired. He's now living outside the country, where he's free to be an outspoken critic of the Assad regime. As such, he's regularly called for outside military intervention to end what he calls the 'barbaric genocide' committed by government forces against the Syrian people.
One report from Reuters, quoting a Western diplomat, said Mr Assad had moved to the coastal city of Latakia to direct the security response to the bombing. Advertisement
Details of the audacious attack on the headquarters of Syria's national security council in al-Rawda were also in dispute. State television says it was a suicide bomber, while the government news agency accused a Qatari security company of building ''models analogous to official buildings and squares'' so they could film ''fake videos and fabricated photos about the situation in Syria''.

US Writing New Syrian Constitution - "Tutoring" the SNC For Syria Take Over
The US State Department, via the "US Institute of Peace" is working directly with Syrian "opposition" groups to formulate a "government" to put into place, if and when NATO covert military operations succeed in collapsing the Syrian state.
The report written by Foreign Policy magazine titled, "Inside the quiet effort to plan for a post-Assad Syria," indicates that the US State Department-funded USIP plans on releasing a report soon, detailing the US-crafted government being planned. The USIP, which already publishes details of how it has crafted, created, and is continuing to manage and facilitate the NATO-installed client regime now running Libya, constitutes nothing less than implementation of modern-day imperialism.
The USIP claims that it is involved in not only "advising" the Western-backed Libyan government, but that it is also involved in, "constitution making, transitional justice, women rights" and "education." The USIP, US government-funded, will also be writing Syria's "constitution" as well - which they are now calling a "transition strategy document."
Foreign Policy magazine, in an attempt to water down the implications of the US government literally crafting the client regime they plan on placing into the vacuum their US-Israeli-Saudi-Qatari mercenaries (FSA) are attempting to create, by claiming:
The absence of Obama administration officials at these meetings, even as observers, was deliberate.
"This is a situation where too visible a U.S. role would have been deeply counterproductive. It would have given the Assad regime and elements of the opposition an excuse to delegitimize the process," [Steven] Heydemann said.Steven Heydemann is heading the USIP Syrian project.
Unfortunately for this line of thinking, the USIP is in fact a direct functionary of the US government, and more specifically the US State Department, with acting members of the US State Department, including Michael Posner and members of the US Department of Defense, including James Miller, serving on the USIP board of directors. Other compromising BoD members include Amnesty International chairmen and policy makers drawn from Fortune 500-funded think tanks like the Hoover Institution and big-oil's Belfer Center.
To complicate matters further for the so-called "Syrian opposition," prominent members of the movement, including Radwan Ziadeh, is actually a "senior fellow" of the US-funded institution - meaning the opposition leaders were drawn from US institutions, not Syria. The Guardian's article, "The Syrian opposition: who's doing the talking?" has covered this in depth, illustrating that Ziadeh's background is the rule, not the exception.
Readers should recall that US State Department's Michael Posner, also serving on the USIP BoD, conceded in an AFP report in 2011 that the US had been funding, equipping, and training "activists" from across the Arab World 2 years in advance for the allegedly "spontaneous" "Arab Spring." These included activists from Syria who created the rhetorical predication for the violence now unfolding across Syria.
This admission by the US State Department and the head of USIP's Syrian project indicates the absolute illegitimacy of the so-called "Syrian opposition," - a complete contrivance of the US government, a manifestation of its foreign policy toward Syria - and in no way representative of the Syrian people. The opposition is literally directed by the US government who is forming for them a government to replace the one they are purposefully destroying through a series of mutually supported economic sanctions, military attacks, and diplomatic undermining.

Syria warns of plans to 'hijack' its official Media
Syria`s Information Ministry accused Sunday western intelligences of being planning in cooperation with some Arab parties to hijack the frequencies of Syrian satellite channels for some time to broadcast false news on alleged coup d'etat or certain military defections or the fall of certain cities.
"An Information Ministry source warned that Western intelligence are planning, in cooperation with some Arab parties, to hijack the frequencies of Syrian satellite channels," state news agency SANA reported.
It said the aim would be "to broadcast false news on an alleged coup d'etat or... military defections or the fall of certain cities," in the uprising against President Bashar al-Assad.
The ministry said it was part of "a plot against Syria."
False news, the ministry added, "might be broadcast by Syrian presenters and journalists who work for Arab and Western channels, or who might have been abducted" and forced to broadcast such reports.
Syria TV, al-Dunia TV, Sham FM also sent the same alarm along all their outlets on Sunday too.
Earlier on Sunday, an official information source refuted as baseless the news broadcast by some satellite channels on aerial bombardment of some areas in Damascus.
The source stressed normal life in Damascus, adding that the authorities, in cooperation with locals, are chasing vanquished terrorists in certain streets.
On Friday, Syria`s Information Ministry urged Syrian nationals to be cautious and avoid misleading fake media outlets who allege being Syrian official TVs.
Syria`s Information Ministry announced Friday that there is a satellite channel using the logo of the Syrian Satellite Channel and broadcasting nationalistic songs in preparation for springing a media ambush which has been uncovered before.
This channel may appear on the same frequency as the genuine channel if it is cut off at any time, Information Ministry added.
The Information Ministry also affirmed that the continuation of the genuine Syrian channels is linked to the presence of its well-known programs and presenters, and that the aforementioned channel and any similar channel is not related to the Syrian national media and constitutes blatant media piracy.
Syrian regime blamed “armed terrorist groups which have been funded by abroad” for the 17-month protests in country and which have claimed 17000 casualties according to activists monitor groups.

Syrian opposition training in Berlin for the 'day after'
High-ranking members of the Syrian opposition movement have recently been trained in Berlin on how to establish a democratic system in the event that President Bashar al-Assad falls from power, German diplomatic sources have confirmed. Some 40 Syrians underwent training, including generals who have deserted President Bashar al-Assad, economists and lawyers living in exile.
The group includes members of various ethnic groups and religions, as well as members of the Muslim Brotherhood, which is banned in Syria. The diplomatic sources stressed that the German government was not directly involved in the meetings, which were held under conditions of secrecy, but said it was being kept informed and was providing logistical support. "It is the declared policy of (Foreign Minister Guido) Westerwelle to boost cohesion within the Syrian opposition and to contribute to making the Syrian opposition forces more professional," a Foreign Ministry spokesman said in Berlin.
The meetings included a visit to the authority that administers the files of the notorious Stasi, the defunct East German security organisation. The driving force behind the project, entitled "The Day Thereafter: support for a democratic transition in Syria," is the US Institute for Peace (USIP). Funders included the US State Department, the Swiss Foreign Ministry and Dutch and Norwegian non-governmental organisations.
According to USIP project leader Steven Heydemann, opposition leaders were being prepared for the immediate aftermath of a regime collapse in Syria, with the aim of averting economic chaos and ensuring public order. The organisers stressed that the plans being laid in Berlin were not aimed at changing the government in Damascus. As Heydemann wrote in his blog for the US journal Foreign Policy, the project was about "the day after," while others were working on "the day before."
Regime collapse was one issue, while talks about transitional arrangements were another, Heydemann said, adding that it would be "irresponsible" not to prepare for a transition. Heydemann said that the discussions to date had been about reforms to the justice system, among other things, along with the role of the armed opposition in the post-al-Assad era.
The next stage would be establishing a network of officials for the transitional period, with consideration being given to members of the old regime who could play a role in a new Syria. Over the weeks ahead, the group intends to present recommendations for a transformation concept that would be available for a possible transitional government.
Despite the military successes of the Free Syrian Army (FSA), the political opposition is widely regarded as divided and disorganised. The Istanbul-based Syrian National Council (SNC), set up last October as an opposition umbrella organisation, claims to represent 60 per cent of the regime's opponents.
They include the Muslim Brotherhood, along with Christian and Kurdish minorities. Most SNC members are exiles, like the chairman, Abdelbasit Seida, a Kurd who lives in Sweden. His predecessor, Paris-based Burhan Ghaliun, stood down following internal controversy.
Many experts see the SNC as largely irrelevant, even though it was recently recognised by the Friends of Syria group of nations. The National Co-ordination Committee for democratic change has a stronger base within the country. And Nofal al-Dawalibi, son of a former Syrian prime minister, has indicated that he intends to set up a transitional government in exile. _________________ Anarcho-Capitalist, AnCaps Forum, Ancapolis,OZschwitz Contraband “The state calls its own violence law, but that of the individual, crime.”-- Max Stirner "Remember: Evil exists because good men don't kill the government officials committing it." -- Kurt Hofmann

Syria's top diplomat in London defects over 'violent and oppressive' regime
Syria's most senior diplomat in Britain has announced his defection, saying he can no longer represent a regime that has “committed such violent and oppressive acts against its own people”.
Khaled al-Ayoubi's move, confirmed by Britain's Foreign Office, is the latest in a series of high-profile defections from Bashar al-Assad's crumbling regime, with rumours of more senior defections gaining traction overnight.
His departure is another blow to the Assad regime. It illustrates the revulsion and despair the regime's actions are provoking amongst Syrians from all walks of life, inside the country and abroad.

Assad Isolation Grows as Rebels Claim Syria PM Defected
Syria’s Prime Minister Riad Hijab has defected and joined rebel forces in the highest-ranking departure since the uprising against President Bashar al-Assad began last year, opposition leaders said.
Hijab left the country with three other cabinet ministers, Colonel Riad al-Asaad, commander of the Free Syrian Army, said in interview from the Turkish-Syrian border yesterday. Syrian Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi said officials haven’t heard from Hijab, who was dismissed from office. Zoubi also rejected reports that ministers defected and the state-run Syrian Arab News Agency said that all ministers attended a Cabinet meeting. The Associated Press reported that a Jordanian official, whose name it withheld, confirmed that Hijab defected with his family.
“That the titular head of the Syrian government has rejected the ongoing slaughter being carried out at Assad’s direction only reinforces that the Assad regime is crumbling from within,” White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters yesterday.
Hihab’s departure would mark the most serious blow to President Bashar al-Assad’s government since last month, when a bomb attack in Damascus killed key members of the military establishment, including Assad’s brother-in-law, Assef Shawkat.
