Bar and beauty salon owner Amparo “Iris” Altagracia Montas Hernandez and her son Eddy Vazquez are wanted on charges of harboring illegal immigrants and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

Montas Hernandez is accused of operating brothels in southwest Florida. Some of the women workers were illegal immigrants from Latin America who were forced into prostitution to pay off their loans to the people who smuggled them into the country, the FBI said .

About a month after the two were indicted in August 2005, they fled, and warrants were issued for their arrest. Montas Hernandez is Dominican and also has ties to the New York and Boston areas.
