| AUSTRALIAN Olympic sponsors should speak out about China's human rights record, according to a new survey.
It also found that Sydneysiders are overwhelmingly opposed to a boycott of the Games, believing sport should win over politics.
Those companies that took a stand would be rewarded with greater customer loyalty, with four out of 10 people saying they would be more likely to purchase a product from an outspoken sponsor, the survey by research consultants AMR Interactive has found.
When asked what was the most appropriate action for sponsors, half of those surveyed said they wanted companies to speak out against human rights abuses and 62 per cent would feel more positive about those that did.
