| A man accused of holding a knife to his girlfriend's throat has told a Perth magistrate to "hurry up" with his hearing because he had to go to the gym.
Today Malcolm Stirling Blurton, 24, appeared in Perth Magistrates Court via videolink from Casuarina Prison, where he is being remanded on a string of charges including threatening to kill and deprivation of liberty.
Mr Blurton appeared impatient as Magistrate Elizabeth Woods heard applications on his behalf, constantly interrupting as she attempted to deal with his matters. Advertisement: Story continues below
At one point Mr Blurton got up, left his seat and walked from the shot, before being ordered to sit again.
He then told Ms Woods to "hurry up" because he had "things to do", including a trip to the prison gym.
When his hearing was over Mr Blurton grabbed the videolink remote control, pointed it at the camera, and turned it off.
He will appear in the Perth District Court on July 13 for sentence.
