Lowlife poLICE shoot, kill West Valley City man

West Valley City • Police officers shot and killed a 23-year-old man in his front yard Monday evening.

West Valley City police were called to a home at 3319 S. Park Springs Drive (5180 West) for a report of domestic violence just after 5 p.m., said West Valley police Sgt. Mike Powell. As three officers approached the home, they encountered a man and when more than one officer fired his duty weapon, the man was struck by gunfire, Powell said.

No officers were injured. A firearm was found in the home’s front yard, Powell said.

The man was taken by helicopter to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. He was identified as Sean Krummi, 23.

The officers will be placed on paid administrative leave while the incident is investigated, police said.

Neighbors at the scene said they heard three shots andpolice yelling for Krummi to put down his weapon.

A man who knew Krummi confronted police at the scene, accusing them of firing too quickly, though he didn’t witness the incident.

"The kid didn’t deserve it. He’s a good kid," Charlie Clark told The Tribune.
