| Police have opened fire on protesters in India's north-eastern state of Assam, killing at least three people.
Ten people were hurt in the firing at Bengtol village in the western district of Chirang. Four police officials were also hurt by hurled bricks.
An official said a mob had tried to stop police from closing the offices of a separatist group from the Bodo tribe.
