| Having dad throw you the keys to his car is the dream of most young men.
When that car is an exotic sports car it's even better. But when it's the world's fastest road car, the Bugatti Veyron capable of 400km/h, bringing the car home in one piece is the No.1 priority.
Unfortunately for 20-year-old Dutchman Thurs Perridon, he didn't bring the Veyron home to dad at all. It was impounded by the police when he was nabbed doing 160km/h in a 80km/h zone in the quad-turbo, 16-cylinder supercar.
Thurs's father, Michael, is no stranger to speed, though.
He is the director of Trust International, a major Dutch company that has sponsored formula one teams Red Bull and Spyker.
Dutch police haven't said yet if and when they'll release the $2 million Veyron back to the (one would imagine very annoyed) father.

| How selfish and socially irresponsible, wasting all that money on a car ... and a petrol guzzler at that, when we've peak-oil approaching... tsk tsk...
