| A derivatives exchange backed by some of Wall Street’s biggest names is set to shake up the trading in US futures and challenge the CME Group, which has enjoyed a virtual monopoly on many contracts.
The new challenger is owned by 12 financial institutions including Citigroup, JPMorgan and Barclays Capital and will start by looking at US Treasury futures, which comprise a sizeable portion of the derivatives market.
