| Coffin Cheater Eddie Withnell's outrage over his five-year Northbridge ban has left Premier Colin Barnett stone cold.
WA Police this week successfully won a ban imposed by the Liquor Commission on Mr Withnell entering or working in licensed premises, including nightclubs, pubs with extended trading hours permits, and licensed hotels and restaurants.
The Commission had relied on confidential police documents in handing down its decision, a move derided by Mr Withnell.
The ruling effectively bans the high-profile bikie from Northbridge, where he is involved with the Voodoo Lounge strip club.
Mr Barnett told the ABC radio he had no sympathy for Mr Withnell.
"He has a colourful, chequered history," he said.
"He has been associated with a lot of mischief and misconduct in the area, so he has been banned for five years - good result."
Mr Withnell, a long-standing member of the Coffin Cheaters bikie gang who has been out of jail for 24 years, said he was furious at the police decision to bar him from licensed venues.
He told 6PR he was "stunned" the public could sit back and accept the decision.
"For 24 years I have been contributing to society. I have tried hard to put my past behind me," he said.
Mr Withnell said he was up-front in his defence of the ban, and lashed the police and the Liquor Commission for relying on confidential reports, which were not made available to his lawyers, in making the ruling.
He warned that no one was safe from the hard-line bans.
"Nazi Germany used secret reports for their personal gains," he said.
Police Commissioner Karl O'Callaghan said today police could not detail the nature of the confidential information provided to the Liquor Commission.
Mr O'Callaghan claimed Mr Withnell's criminal history was not the basis of the push to ban him, although it was a relevant contributing factor and something that the Liquor Commission was entitled to take into account in making these decisions.
"The Liquor Commission has agreed with our submission that Mr Withnell is not a suitable person to be employed by licensed premises," Mr O'Callaghan said.
