Funny: Libertarian Pig on the lam is latest craze on Facebook

A pig loose in Panama City since February has developed a following in Facebook. All available evidence strongly suggests that the pig in question is a die hard libertarian. The libertarian philosophy is defined by Wikipedia as "the political platform favoring minimally regulated, laissez-faire markets, strong civil liberties, minimally regulated migration across borders, and non-interventionism in foreign policy that respects freedom of trade and travel to all foreign countries". While the pig has made no statement on laissez-faire markets, it has taken a strong stand on strong civil liberties for pigs and minimally regulated migration across borders. The pig also believes that the Government has no role in restricting movement of swine or controlling its actions. Yesterday evening, the pig denied any connection to the pig of "Animal Farm", and asked the media to stay away from tabloid journalism. It also claimed to be horrified at the depiction of pigs in a recent Examiner articles on creepy vintage ads.

This, being a serious news report, we have a report from Bay County Animal Control, (nervous and excited to be in the news) that it has been trying to catch the libertarian pig since February, but has not been successful due to popular support for the pig. Real Americans, who know what freedom means, have been disabling their dirty pig traps. This week they shot the pig with four tranquilizer darts. The pig took the tranquilizer darts like the pig it was but still kept going. No mere darts were going take it down, and of course, suffice it to say, Animal Control still couldn't catch it. This pig is gaining mythical status and bets are being taken that it is one g&*da*^%m, m&*&^%%& pig that could take down Bruce Willis and Arnold at the same time. Officials maintain that they want to catch the pig so it doesn't hurt itself or someone else and that it will not be killed if caught, but citizen groups, who have watched many movies where cops are the bad guys, remain suspicious of the officials (and rightly so!).

The libertarian pig now has a Facebook group dedicated to its cause. The Facebook group "Pig in the Cove" has 343 members and counting, and is rapidly gaining support from international organizations that favor libertarianism and Rush Limbaugh. Viva la Pig!
