Ex-DCF official slapped with federal charge of producing child pornography

TAMPA, Fla. --
A former spokesman for Florida's child welfare agency will face federal charges of producing child pornography, federal authorities said Monday.

Al Zimmerman paid two 16-year-old boys to pose for nude photos and brokered the images to overseas pornographers, according to an affidavit released by the U.S. Attorney's Office.

If convicted of federal charges, Zimmerman will face at least 15 years in prison.
