| A key crossbencher will seek a Senate order when Parliament resumes next month to investigate the Australian Taxation Office’s handling of whistleblower Richard Boyle, who faces six life sentences if found guilty.
It comes as Boyle was granted bail in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday. He will appear in court in July where he will plead not guilty to the 66 charges of breaching laws on handling public documents and recording phone calls when he spoke out on the ATO’s mistreatment of taxpayers.
