| Subject: Rights violation: Man sentenced to jail after city officials said he operated an illegal Airbnb Tue Feb 26, 2019 7:22 pm | |
| A Nashville man was sentenced to jail time this month after a judge found he repeatedly violated city code and rented a local house out on Airbnb without a permit. This is the first time a short-term rental violation has resulted in possible jail time, according to Metro Planning spokesman Sean Braisted. Layton Jones, 29, was charged with contempt of court, according to a court filing that includes listings for his house on Airbnb. General Sessions Judge Allegra Walker on Feb. 19 ordered him to spend three days in jail and pay a $20,050 fine.
