Mark Strauss said the best way to make Congress cooperate is by having a third party in power.  How to do that? Voting Libertarian, he said.
“The two-party system is strangling America,” he told the group of fairgoers listening at the Des Moines Register’s Political Soapbox on Friday.
Strauss is running for the U.S. House  in Iowa’s 2nd District. The Libertarian Party recently gained major party status in Iowa, and has candidates in the races for governor, 3rd and 4th District Representatives, and other statewide races.
