| The Libertarian Party of Cherokee County held a candidate forum at the Ruby Chapel Monday night. The event was also live streamed on YouTube. The Libertarian Party aims to serve as an alternative to voters who have grown disenfranchised with the Republican and Democratic parties. Their candidates typically espouse fiscal conservatism and social liberalism. The forum was moderated by Melina Baker, the Libertarian county party chair and state party treasurer. She is also a candidate for U.S. House District 32 in Dallas. There were many candidates present for the forum. Each were given a few minutes to introduce themselves and to answer questions from the audience.
