| Subject: Statist scum: OZschwitz taxi and ride-sharing passengers to be slugged levy for 'unnecessary bailout' Tue Jan 30, 2018 6:39 pm | |
| Taxi and ride-sharing passengers across NSW will be slugged a $1 levy for each trip they take from Thursday to fund a compensation package for the taxi industry Uber argues is an unnecessary bailout.
The introduction of the levy comes as Chinese ride-sharing giant DiDi and Indian company Ola are set to launch services in Sydney, piling pressure on Uber, recent arrival Taxify and taxi operators.
