Dear diary,

It appears I have offended old people.

Could it be because I refer to them as "old people"?

In some quarters, I've even been labelled "anti-granny".

That's simply not true: some of my favourite people are grannies (hi mum!)

It is true that in my darker moments – when home ownership has seemed but a distant dream – I have cursed the Baby Boomer generation and their cakewalk through life; cursed their free education, their property windfalls, their superannuation tax breaks and their $1 bus tickets.
