The powerful NSW Crime Commission has frozen the assets of controversial Mosman businessman Savas Guven and will compel his wife Jade to give evidence about their wealth in court.

Mr Guven, also known as Savas Yucel, was arrested and charged in October with 20 counts of dealing with the proceeds of crime and participating in a criminal group after a three-year drug money laundering investigation by officers linked to Strike Force Millstream. He has been accused of attempting to launder $3.5 million over two weeks in 2014 by engaging in cash drops, mainly around Sydney's lower north shore.
