| On his nationally syndicated radio talk show Friday, host Mark Levin chastised the media, saying that they have become “an appendage of the government.”
“You need to remember something about most of the media,” stated Mark Levin. “Most of the media are an appendage to the government. What do they mostly report about? Government. Good government. Big government. Spending. Congress. Presidency. The courts. But for this massive government, where would the media be? They wouldn’t have sources. They wouldn’t have leaks. They wouldn’t have their headlines. They wouldn’t have anything.”
Below is a transcript of Levin's remarks from his show Friday:

- “This is like a cartoon. It’s like a cartoon. ‘Hey, I think he committed treason. That’s treason. And not only that, the son in law, Jared Kushner, let’s drag his wife in, Ivanka. What does she know and when does she know? Yeah, yeah.’
“Ladies and gentlemen, if this doesn’t scare you, this kind of phony hysteria that they’re trying to create – that the media are trying create, that this drumbeat can be created around nothing – and then they have pseudo-conservatives joining in, well, it ought to concern you.
“We have a special counsel, a special prosecutor roaming the countryside, who hired 14 liberal Democrats or so. The criminalization of politics.
“The bottom line is this: Donald Trump was not allowed to win. Any Republicans running against Hillary was not allowed to win. It was her turn, and she was going to expand the Obama agenda and enshrine forever the progressive movement’s agenda.
“And you said, ‘No.’ You said, ‘No.’ - Quote :
- “Donald Trump won fair and square under the electoral college system. That’s the only way he could become President and Vice President of the United States. There’s no other way.
“Not by the popular vote, that’s it, the electoral college, and he won and Pence won – fair and square.
“And I told you, and I played it yesterday, the day after they won, that they were not going to stand for it. They’ve had violence in the street. They’ve had lawsuits to challenge his agenda. He can’t get his nominees through the Republican Senate. They’re trying to undermine every one of his objectives. You got judges, Obama judges, Democrat judges, who’ve thrown in. You have the most outrages, felonious leaks taking places out of this government, all intended to destroy this presidency.
“You need to remember something about most of the media. Most of the media are an appendage to the government.
“What do they mostly report about? Government. Good government. Big government. Spending. Congress. Presidency. The courts.
“But for this massive government, where would the media be? They wouldn’t have sources. They wouldn’t have leaks. They wouldn’t have their headlines. They wouldn’t have anything.
“What are they going to report about, apple harvesting?
“That the American people are actually a good people that actually love their country? What are they going to report but for government leaks, but for government, period?
“The media have become an appendage of the government. And so they protect government – big government, centralized government and more government.”
