| Subject: Bozell: 'Avalanche' of Calls Forced CNN to Fire Aslan, and 'This Is Just the Beginning' Sun Jun 11, 2017 3:26 am | |
| “America has sent an unmistakable message to CNN,” Media Research Center (MRC) President Brent Bozell declared after public outrage forced the network to fire “Believer” host Reza Aslan on Friday.
“America has sent an unmistakable message to CNN,” Bozell said in a statement. “We will not stand idly by while their so-called ‘religious scholar’ smears the president of the United States and conservative leaders with obscenity-laden insults.” MRC recently launched a campaign to hold vulgar, hateful liberal media figures – like Aslan, who called President Donald Trump a “piece of sh*t” – accountable. The campaign not only informs the American public of offensive liberal media misdeeds, but also provides a list of their advertisers. Bozell credited an "avalanche” of phone calls to CNN prompted by MRC’s campaign: - Quote :
- “MRC supporters generated an avalanche of over 7,000 phone calls to CNN this week demanding Reza Aslan’s removal. CNN paid attention and ultimately did the right thing -- which they should have done immediately.”
But, the campaign’s work isn’t done and Americans must be ever-vigilant in making liberal media know their vulgar hatefulness will not be tolerated: - Quote :
- “When left-wing pundits and journalists use social media as a platform to slander those with whom they disagree, including President Trump, there will be consequences. It is reckless, sophomoric and unprofessional.
“Our campaign to hold the liberal media accountable does not end here. This is just the beginning.” http://www.cnsnews.com/blog/craig-bannister/bozell-avalanche-calls-forced-cnn-fire-aslan-and-just-beginning
