| Subject: We need more technology graduates who are capable of launching and growing ventures Thu Jun 23, 2016 5:11 am | |
| Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull's call for maths and science to be compulsory for all students finishing high school makes sense. The next step should be ensuring all students who study technology subjects at school or university are exposed to entrepreneurship education.
We should be talking about science, technology, engineering, entrepreneurship and mathematics (STEEM) subjects, not the more limiting STEM concept that is being overhyped.
The Prime Minister, of all people, should understand the importance of linking entrepreneurship and innovation, and developing a new generation of researchers with commercialisation skills who can work with industry.
